Roger Bailey is the sole proprietor for the North East Computer Consultants.  He has worked in the computer field since 1980, when he took his first computer programming class at E. O. Smith High School in Storrs, CT.

He attended The University of Connecticut, and graduated with a B.S. in Computational and Applied Mathematics in December, 1985.

He worked for ISC Systems, Inc. in Spokane, WA for 3 years after college as a programmer.  This is where Roger was introduced to the Internet.

He then went to Timonium, Maryland to work for Roadnet Technologies, a subsidiary of UPS for a few years.   He worked as a programmer on the DIAD, the hand-held device that the UPS drivers use to record their package deliveries.

Not wanting to program for the rest of his life, Roger moved on to two community colleges in Maryland: Harford Community College and Cecil Community College.  There, he taught computer classes for two years, and maintained the computer labs.

An opportunity arose to work for the State of Maryland, for the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulations.  He worked in Baltimore, taking care of various computer systems and teaching computer classes.

After working for a year in Baltimore, Cecil Community College was looking for a Director of Academic Computing, which was a brand new position.  Roger was accepted for the position, and spent two years there, taking care of the email system, teaching classes, and working with the faculty members to get computers integrated into their curriculum .

While in Maryland, Roger consulted for various small businesses, helping them to integrate computers into their operations, including establishing their Web pages.   These businesses included insurance agents, a doctor's office, and a manufacturing company.  He also worked as a consultant and taught classes for International Computer Associates in Maryland.

Anna Maria College was looking for a Computer Systems Administrator in 1998, and, with the chance to move back to New England, he applied for the job and was accepted.  Roger has taken care of the entire Web site, and maintained the network and all servers (Web, Financial Aid, Email, Firewalls, Data Storage, Student Data, and User Validation).  The servers run on RedHat Linux and Windows 2003.

In the Fall of 2007, Anna Maria College changed direction. Roger went to work for Channing Bete in South Deerfield, MA. He is the Database/System Administrator, watching over 40 RedHat Linux servers for their ECommerce development and production system, along with 40 Windows servers.
